ABOUT THE RELEASE
Zebra is more than a musical trio — it’s a unified, conceptual being that rises, grows and transforms. Their music is a shared scream that slowly climbs from the stomach to the throat. The music they create is a weird, alchemical, and profound bond.
Zebra explodes on a stage, turning an eternal silence into noise, passion, hate, love. Together, they make music that speaks, music that runs.
It’s a dance in a subtle balance, owing to a shared dream, an unconditional love that comes to life on the stage. Emotion is the only thing that matters to Zebra. It’s the engine of their music, and the shared goal.
Zebra released their first EP, Homo Habilis, in 2014.
Since then, the band has performed a series of gigs and festivals in the north of Italy, having the opportunity of sharing the stage with renowned bands such as Editors, Verdena, Yakamoto Kotzuga, Universal Sex Arena, Cosmo, Be Forest, Soviet Soviet, Giungla, Ministri, I Cani, Recondite, Iosonouncane, Fast Animals and Slow Kids, and Osc2x.
The trio completed their second EP, Tango, in the spring of 2016.
Produced and mixed at Lemon Studio by Edoardo Pellizzari and mastered at La Maestà by Giovanni Versari, Tango is a chilled, organic-coloured EP.
It’s pure and sinuous, like a trickle of water, a ride on cheetah’s back. Tango is a group dance between lonely men, only welcome in a humid oasis. It contains five tracks, all of a theatrical atmosphere.
The songs are felt, thought, sculpted, devoured and digested with the heart. A triangle turning into a circle and a circle turning into light, angry, sweet and dazzling to the ears.
