ABOUT THE RELEASE
In 2017, after multiple musical collaborations on the Belgian and French scenes and many years of deejaying, the Belgian female performer Clemix, aka Clémentine, launched her solo project with a debut EP called “Discobar” (Vinyl & Digital / October 2017).
With rage, naivety, irony and self-mockery, Clemix writes electro-funky songs mostly in French, somewhere between hip-hop electro, French pop and disco punk.
She performs solo on stage and in a hardware configuration, singing and playing her machines as instruments. Her long stage experience enables her to offer a real show: she handles words, beats and sounds with a communicative groove and installs a joyful osmosis that is hard to resist.
After performing almost 40 shows in Belgium, France, Switzerland and Canada, Clemix is now back with a new EP in a style that remains unique and danceable, but which is more produced, and more intimate as well.
The first single “C’est commun“, was released on October 4th, 2019. The video for this song was made in collaboration with Benjamin Hautenauve, and was released via different blogs in Canada, France, Spain and Italy.
Non Merci will be officially released on February 7, 2020 and will be available in CD and all Digital formats.
