“11” – the latest album release from Niton celebrates a decade of musical innovation.
Niton‘s fourth album marks the tenth anniversary of the Italian-Swiss alt electronic band and will be available on LP and digital formats via Shameless Records and Pulver und Asche Records from November 22, 2024.
“11” is a landmark in Niton’s journey, celebrating a decade of musical exploration into the concept and practice of electronic music. For the first time, Niton chooses to work collaboratively in studio with other artists on each of the 10 tracks. The guests are 11 international artists from varied creative backgrounds.
This album – lovingly mastered by Henning Schmitz (Kraftwerk) – symbolizes for Niton the transition from the formative years to a more mature phase, embracing new and broader sonic horizons.
“11” is not just a celebration of their past but a leap towards unexplored musical realms, setting the stage for an unforgettable journey.
About Niton
Niton is an alternative electronic trio formed on the border between Italy and Switzerland in 2012. Departing from the heterogeneous nature of its components (Zeno Gabaglio with electric cello, Luca Xelius Martegani with analogue synthesizers, El Toxyque with amplified objects), it proposes an original approach to electronic music so far expressed in four albums and numerous soundtracks for film, theatre and installations.
